Helping Prosecutors stay a step ahead of the criminals

The International Association of Prosecutors (IAP) recognises that if the present technological trend continues, and there does not appear to be any reason why it will not, in, in the long term all prosecutors will need to have an understanding of high Tec crime issues.

As technology develops so also the training and guidance on such issues will need to develop. It is therefore, crucial that the partnerships that are being formed with specialists and experts in industry both nationally and internationally are maintained. It is these individuals who have the best chance of not only remaining up-to-date with technological advances exploited by criminals; but also of predicting what lies ahead on the technology horizon. This in turn will ensure that prosecutors are prepared for the latest challenges.

The IAP will act as a conduit between prosecutors and Industry by participating in industry networks, inviting industry to contribute to horizon-scanning exercises to assess future challenges and opportunities; and encourage cross-training involving Industry.
